R. Kelly’s 13-year-old child took to social media earlier this month to reveal that he was in fact transgendered or had plans to become such.
She says he has felt she was a boy and not a girl since the age of six or seven. Up until a recent interview with WGCI in Chicago, there ha been no word from the singer regarding the matter.
Recently, R. Kelly had these things to say about the situation.
“You don’t really want to open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son,” R. Kelly said. “You gotta know there’s a back story. There’s a background. That’s why you can’t judge nobody.”
He would further go on to say not to trust the blogs or give them any real credit when they post things. “Always believe what you see. That is the best way to go about this business… I’ve heard a lot of things about a lot of people and it was never true.” He stated.

TMZ reports that R. Kelly’s ex-wife, Andrea believes her ex-husband hasn’t been as accepting of their transgender child, saying he still refers to Jay as his daughter.
