We are a month away from general elections and Rock the Vote have provided several inspirational videos to help engage younger voters to register. Their mission is to help build political power for young people in our country. Lil Jon helped with their efforts by creating a promotional video for their website by asking young adults to #TURNOUTFORWHAT they believe in.

“Rock the Vote is the largest non-profit and non-partisan organization in the United States driving the youth vote to the polls. Fusing pop culture, politics, and technology, Rock the Vote works to mobilize the millennial voting bloc and the youth vote, protect voting rights, and advocate for an electoral process and voting system that works for the 21st century electorate.”

For almost 25 years, the voting process has been simplified and demystified by Rock the Vote. They’ve helped open the doors for young adults to attend voter registration and election day by providing them with the materials they need to get involved. “Whether it’s Madonna wrapping herself in the flag for the first Rock the Vote PSA or Snoop Dogg launching our bus tour in 2004, Rock the Vote represents the historic and groundbreaking intersection of culture and politics.”

Voting is extremely important opportunity for our government to hear exactly what its people believe in. By voting, you are standing up for specific social and moral issues that you feel so strongly about. Its sole purpose isn’t to determine who the President will be, or who the representatives in Washington should be, it’s to give voice to the direction you wish to see this country head in. Huffington Post said:

Voting matters. When voters don’t turn out to choose their local and state governments, they receive a government that doesn’t represent them. Consider the case of Ferguson, Missouri, recently in the news due to the tragic shooting of the unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. Community groups have vociferously complained that their city government has failed to pursue justice for the killing of Michael Brown.”

You get what you don’t vote for, so please register at http://www.rockthevote.com and turn out on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 to vote!
