Hot Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea owned this year’s American Music Award nominations, leading the pack with a soaring six nominations.
Her nominated categories are top-notch too: Artist Of The Year, New Artist Of The Year, Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock.
If you haven’t set foot inside a Frat house lately–or anywhere fun–you might not know that Fancy was the song of the summer. The anthem has been nominated for Single of the Year. The album that it’s on, The New Classics, will be in the running for Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop.
Iggy will be battling against veteran Katy Perry–who’s dominated in the past–for several awards, including the highly coveted Artist Of The Year.

Trailing behind Iggy are John Legend and Pharrell Williams, both scoring themselves five nominations a piece, and Lorde with four nominations.
We’ll see if Iggy’s Fancy enough to walk away with all of these titles the evening of the awards (airing November 23rd.)
