HHMW’s “Hustle & Grow” host Karlie Hustle has been appointed to Director of Brand Relations for Hip-Hop producer 9th Wonder’s independent label, Jamla Records. HipHopDX announced the news on Tuesday via their website. In her new position, Karlie plans on adding to the resources that Jamla Records already possesses in order to take the visibility of the artists on the roster to the next level. HHMW spoke with Karlie Hustle today to congratulate her on her new position and she gave the following responses:
“For years, I have championed independent artists under the confines of various corporate infrastructures. It was tough, but I celebrated a few good wins. One of those wins became a relationship with 9th and Rhapsody that has now led me to this new position. I’m so excited to be hands on with an independent label like Jamla Records. I now get to be an even more integral part of the successes of these artists that I am already such a huge fan of. Our goals to contribute to the culture in a meaningful way are so aligned, that it didn’t much surprise me when 9th called me at the top of the year with this opportunity. Thank you to 9th Wonder and the Jamla Records team. I am humbled to be a part of an important movement in the current Hip-Hop climate.”
