A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams’ cause of death has been revealed. According to the Chief Medical Drug Examiner, his death has been ruled out as an overdose from a mixture of drugs including opiates and benzodiazepine. A$AP Yams’ close friend and artist, A$AP Rocky made a statement on January 25th, 2015 on Billboard.com stating that Yams’ death was not due to a drug overdose:

“People were saying that Yams overdosed on drugs — he didn’t overdose on any drugs,” Rocky said, though he declined to discuss the real cause of Yams’ passing. “I feel like people feel that way because that’s all he’s in pictures doing. When you see A$AP Yams you see Hennessey or purple drink, you see some type of controlled substance or illegal narcotic.” – A$AP Rocky

A$AP Yams, born Steven Rodriguez was laid to rest back in January, 2015. His homegoing service was at New York’s world-renowned Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City.
