Drake will be the music curator for Sotheby’s new exhibition of contemporary art by African-American artists that will take place at their New York City headquarters from April 28th through June 12. Sotheby’s contacted Drake in hopes that he would boost sales for the private auction house because of his influence as one of today’s top cultural tastemakers. Featured artists at the exhibition will include Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The New York Times is also reporting that Drake will curate the exhibit for free. Congrats to Drizzy, this is a real good look for the Toronto kid!
