Fresh off his 2014 prison release, fans heavily anticipated new music from Lil Boosie. After changing his name to Boosie Badazz, the Baton Rouge native dropped his long awaited sixth studio album on 05/26/15. Touch Down 2 Cause Hell was released under Trill Ent / Bad Azz Ent and Atlantic records and was his full official album in years.

The proclaimed Prince of the South first lead off single was “Like A Man” featuring Rich Homie Quan. The record tells the trails and tribulations of any man taking care of the household and the #1 breadwinner in the family. This subject was a smart move for Boosie, considering his diehard fan-base had most likely matured into family men too, making the record very relatable.

TD2CH brings you into Boosie’s world, and like he says on the intro track, he “had a minor set back for a major comeback.” Boosie did not sway away from his comfort zone, dropping an album that has both a very dark, yet warm feel to it. The hip hop OG had support from the culture’s current biggest starts, hosting a handful of today’s heavyweights, most notably: Jeezy, Rich Homie Quan, J. Cole, and Chris Brown.
Here at Hip Hop My Way, we commend Boosie for staying true to his sound and not following the trend of what’s going on with today’s music, aka the novelty records. If you’re a day one fan of Boosie’s catalog, you will definitely enjoy Touch Down 2 Cause Hell for its raw authenticity and storytelling. Shout out to Boosie Badazz for staying true to himself and his trademarked sound. Stay down till you come up, 10 toes down.
