adidas Makes Trashy Sneakers

adidas recently partnered with Parley for the Oceans to raise awareness about the horrible conditions of the worlds oceans with a new Boost sneaker, but using interesting materials.

Removing the sneakers traditional Primeknit upper, these remakes are the first wearable shoe ever to be made from entirely reclaimed ocean waste. Yup, a sneaker made completely out of trash.

Founder of Parley for the Oceans, Cyrill Gutsch made a statement:

We are extremely proud that adidas is joining us in this mission and is putting its creative force behind this partnership to show that it is possible to turn ocean plastic into something cool.

As of right now, there’s no official release date for these garbage sneakers sneakers, but there’s talks of a possible Q1 2016 release. To learn more about the sneakers click here.
