TBT: Boyz n the Hood Soundtrack

On July 9th, 1991, the soundtrack from the classic film Boyz n the Hood was released. Directed and written by John Singleton with a host of actors (From Ice Cube to Cuba Gooding Jr, Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne, to name a few), the movie went on to gross $57.5 million at the box office.

The sound track would go on on to reach #1 on U.S. R&B Billboard music charts and sold certified gold to RIAA certifications. The soundtrack featured a host of artist from Ice Cube, Yo-Yo, Too Short, Quincy Jones, and others. As a whole, this soundtrack goes down as of the best.
