Cleveland State University Students Chant Kendrick Lamar’s Song “Alright” During Protest

Things got intense at Cleveland State University on Tuesday during a Black Lives Matter protest when a bunch of students began chanting the lyrics to Kendrick Lamar’s top-charting song “Alright.” The police monitored the protest but was unable to do anything against the strong crowd of students who voiced their opinions during the protest yesterday.

The song “Alright,” produced by Pharrell Williams, takes aim at the unresting topic of police brutality in America today. So — it made a lot of sense that “Alright” was the song of choice sung by the students during the Black Lives Matter protest. Earlier this summer, Geraldo Rivera attacked K. Dot and claimed that his lyrics are encouraging violence.
