Some may argue that there’s no real reason or worth in buying physical albums and others may argue the opposite. Those that think buying albums are still worth while, often use examples like Kanye West’s Yeezus, Rick Ross’ Mastermind, JAY Z & Kanye West’s Watch The Throne and other creative album packages as examples as to why it still makes sense.

Last night (Wednesday, Oct. 7) in Los Angeles, Rihanna revealed both her album title and album artwork art at Mama Gallery. Surprising many, if not all, of the guests in attendance and later the world (who thought Rihanna’s album would be tittle R8), found out the new title is Anti.
For her forthcoming 8th studio album, Rhi has tapped New York artist (by way of Israel), Roy Nachum, to design the album cover. The cover features an image of a young Rihanna holding a black balloon, with a gold crown over her eyes. On top the red-and-white canvas cover, a poem written by Chloe Mitchell is written in braille. The braille and sight-obscuring crown follows the theme of all the album art, which Nachum does intentionally to make a statement on vision impairment.
During the unveiling, the bajan beauty said:
“This is my favorite album cover I’ve ever done.”
Although the album date wasn’t announced or revealed last night, we can only hope, that it’s not too far away.
