Megan The Stallion Speaks Out!
After Tory Lanez was found guilty, Megan Thee Stallion finally came out against her “haters.” Meg responded to those who have continuously asserted Tory is innocent and that she lied during her performance at the Outside Lands Festival on Sunday, August 13.
The “Houston Hottie” claimed in a statement to her detractors that none of their criticisms had any effect on her or her fan following. “I just wanna say, f**k all my haters,” she uttered. Nothing you did or said broke me, you know. Nothing you’re doing or saying to the Hotties has damaged them. And I demand that all of the Hotties now raise their middle fingers.
Megan The Stallion Addresses Haters
On Tuesday, August 8, Tory Lanez, aka Daystar Peterson, was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion and received a 10-year prison term. According to the BBC, Judge David Herriford delivered the ten-year sentence announcement in Los Angeles. Prosecutors had requested 13 years in prison for the Toronto rapper because of “a lack of remorse for his actions.” Additionally, the prosecution saw his outbursts as an effort to “humiliate and re-traumatize the victim through his actions.”
But according to journalist Meghann Cuniff, Judge David Herriford gave Peterson credit for 305 days of time served. Therefore, he will serve 9 years in prison and face deportation. Following the verdict, Tory proclaimed his innocence on Instagram. The rapper insisted he didn’t shoot Meg and that he wouldn’t take responsibility for anything.
“I have never let adversity frighten me, to The Umbrellas. I’ll never, ever allow going to jail ruin me, he typed. Despite their attempts to misrepresent what I said, I have always maintained my innocence and always will. I accepted responsibility for all of the spoken and private exchanges I had with the parties this week in court. There you go.
“In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious.”
