Back in 2013, designer and artist Jay Shells brought the Rap Quotes Project to NYC and LA, taking rap quotes from hip hop’s most notable lyricists like Nas, Hov, Wu-Tang, and others, and posted them like street/parking signs. Following the success of his project two years ago, Shells takes to Atlanta for its latest series. Traveling around the great Southern capital, Shells learns his way around Atlanta’s intricacies through music. Like rap, most of its charm is rooted in its ability to give a guerrilla perspective of the environment that influenced it.
