In sad news, Bobbi Kristina’s family has confirmed today that the 22-year-old has now been placed in hospice care after being placed into a medically-induced coma earlier this year. Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Pat Houston released a statement today revealing that her niece’s health has not gotten any better and that it continues to deteriorate. In the statement, the Houston family also extended their thanks to all their friends and fans for their support during this difficult time.

Hospice care is a type of medical care that focuses specifically on terminally ill patients and attends to their emotional and physical needs. Bobbi Kristina was rushed to Atlanta’s North Fulton Hospital and placed in a medically induced coma back in January after she was found laying unresponsive in her Atlanta home. Until today, her family has been very quiet about her progress. Bobbi Kristina is the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
