Classic Hip Hop Ads: Lugz

For decades, hip-hop has always been influenced by fashion and, for years, brands have always used celebrities and entertainers to sell product. Because fashion changes so quickly, you don’t remember ads unless something about it truly spoke to you.

Let’s go back in time to 1998, before ACG and Polo boots were popular and everyone’s go-to boots were Lugz. Master P, Silkk The Shocker and C-Murder were all enlisted to serve as the face of the urban boot brand. Not sure if them being featured in the ads or helped boost sales, but we do know it made everyone want to cop a pair.
