Eminem and Tupac Shakur are two of hip hop’s greatest ever rappers. The two influential figures have a prominent role in our culture and are two transcendent talents. The greatest white rapper ever never hesitated to mention Pac’s influence on him, and his letter to Afeni Shakur solidifies that actions are louder than words.

The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia features a handwritten letter and portrait Eminem sent to Tupac Shakur’s mother. Here’s two powerful quotes we took from the dedication:

“You have no idea how much your son and his music inspired, not only the ‘Hip Hop’ world, but speaking for myself, has inspired my whole career,”

“[2Pac] gave me the courage to stand up and say, ‘F*ck the world! This is who I am! And if you don’t like it, go f*ck yourself!’”
