Film Review for ‘Dope’: It’s Hard Out Here For A Geek

Last night we had the privilege of checking out an advance screening of the highly anticipated film, Dope. Set in present day, the film is about a group of high school friends going through life living in the “Bottoms” of L.A. when being in the wrong place, gets them into a very sticky situation and them figuring out to get out of it. The film features an all-star cast of celebrities inclusive of A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman, Zoe Kravitz, Quincy Brown and newbies, Shameik Moore, Kiersey Clemons and Tony Revolori. The film which is directed by Rick Famuyiwa and produced by Forest Whitaker and featuring new music from Pharrell Williams.

The movie is definitely worth seeing and was directed through a comedic, refreshing, and inspiring lens.

The film makes its big screen debut, be sure to check it out.
