Philadelphia based rapper Freeway suffered unexpected kidney failure and is now receiving emergency dialysis treatment. Unfortunately, the heartbreaking news comes just a few days before the his inaugural Freefest in his hometown. The State Property rapper was supposed to host the event, but now considering his health we doubt he’ll be able to make it up.

The surprise wake-up call came in the midst of a routine doctor’s check up. After finding out about his failing kidney failure, Freeway has done two consecutive days of dialysis. We’re definitely praying for him here at Hip Hop My Way.
