We would like to start our week off by giving a birthday shout to Joseph Anthony Budden better known for his stage name as Joe Budden. As a Jersey city native, Joe Budden is known for his lyrical skill and his biggest commercial record was released in 2003 with the track “Pump it Up,” released under the Def Jam imprint.

Joe would later part from Def Jam and pursue a career on the independent market where he dominated. He also teamed up with Brooklyn’s Joel Ortiz, Detroit’s Royce Da 5’9″ and Long Beach’s Crooked Eye as they formed the supergroup, Slaughterhouse, and signed to Eminem’s own imprint, Shady Records. We’re wishing Mister Jump Off a happy hip-hop birthday!
