Today we celebrate the birth of recording artist Moses Mortimer Barrett aka Petey Pablo hailing from North Kakalaka.

Petey was signed to Jive Records with his breakthrough debut record Raise Up, released in the summer of 2001. Produced by Timbaland, Petey’s album received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.
