We’re celebrate the birth of Sir Mix-a-Lot as he turns 51 today. If any one remembers in the 90’s, hip-hop was big but not as big as individual who came out of Seattle. Sir changed all of that with the cheeky yet popular single, “Baby Got Back.”

The track would be a instant hit, reaching #1 on the radio charts as it was Sir’s way of showing love to a woman’s “junk-in-her-trunk.” “Baby Got Back” would go on to reach double platinum status, and later earned a Grammy for Best Rap Solo in 1993.
