New Slaves was a global sensation, but before Ye spit authentic raps over a futuristic beat, the song sounded like an outtake from 808s & Heartbreak. Music producer Benjamin Bronfman collaborated with Kanye West on the song and released the original rough draft version to Rolling Stone. Cruel Cold Winter is more of an RnB track and isn’t as minimal as New Slaves. Stream the original here.
