After parting ways with Suge and Deathrow records for multiple reasons, Dre left with nothing and would start his own label. The formation of Aftermath Records is considered Dr. Dre’s fresh start after departing Death Row. Partnering up with Jimmy Ivonie, Aftermath Records provided a home to artists who are now considered household names in hip-hop: 50 Cent, The Game, and, of course, Eminem.
