Jay Z and Will Smith are two of the most powerful African Americans in pop culture. The rich hip hop artists are collaborating with HBO to produce a mini series that will definitely raise racial awareness.

Hov and The Fresh Prince are working together on a mini series based on the life of Emmett Till, the young black male who was beat up by white men after whistling at a white woman. This isn’t the first time both powerhouses have collaborated, Carter and Smith previously found success as producers on the broadway play Fela.
