Justin Bieber has addressed some leaked footage of a joke he made that was blantantly racist and offensive to many people.

In the leaked footage, Justin makes a joke abut why black men are scared of chainsaws or something along those lines. Let’s just say that the joke was laced with the N word in a not so friendly way.

Bieber has since taken to his Twitter to state the following:

“I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and not to make that mistake again. Ignorance has no place in our society and I hope the sharing of my faults can prevent others from making the same mistake in the future. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to say but telling the truth is always right. Five years ago I made a reckless and immature mistake and I’m grateful to those close to me who helped me learn those lessons as a young man. Once again…I’m sorry.”

I don’t know if I’m buying or selling this but let’s just hope it doesn’t happen again.
