“The Internet is F-ing Ugly”.
Kanye West wants to redesign the entire internet to fit his high standards of “Dopeness”. He really can’t stand Instagram, and wants to give the social media monster app a makeover.
West held a surprise seminar at the Cannes Lions festival titled “Technology, Culture, and Consumer Adoption: Learning to Read the Cultural Landscape”, where he touched on everything from his wedding photos to his biggest role model, Steve Jobs.
West told the audience,
“The world as a whole is f-cking ugly. The Internet as a whole is f-cking ugly, too. But I’m not in the construction business”. “I said to Kevin Systrom, why don’t you let us redo Instagram? Now, you know, Instagram is nice. It’s nice looking. I’m not knocking it. But just in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones. And just as a simple task, we could clean that up.”
Kanye went on to complain about how long it took to perfect his wedding photos and what made the Beats Entertainment deal so important. Never a dull moment in the Wackey World of Yeezus.
