Kendrick Lamar is the new face of Compton in hip hop and definitely has earned himself a place as a future legend thanks to dropping arguably two classic albums in his short career. Before K. Dot took over hip hop this decade, 20 years ago another rap act from Compton made headlines due to their controversial lyrics. Without N.W.A., there’s no telling if gangsta rap or West Coast hip hop would have ever existed.
