Kendrick Lamar is great at getting his feelings across through art. In his new video for “Alright,” the Compton rapper tackles the major issue of police brutality that has become a national epidemic. In the beginning of the video, we see Kendrick and his Black Hippie crew including Jay Rock, Ab Soul and Schoolboy Q all in a car jamming to Kendrick’s new song while four police men carry them around.

Throughout the video Kendrick flies high in the air while chaos erupts around him. Then towards the end, he comes toe-to-toe with one of the bad cops who takes aim at Kendrick and shoots him out the sky, resulting in such a bitter ending to an interesting video. Shout out to director Collin Tilley, who did a great job of bringing Kendrick Lamar’s anger about today’s serious social issues to life.
