K. Dot is having a good year. In addition to all the success he is receiving from his sophomore album To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick also won a Grammy this year for his song “i” and got engaged to his longtime girlfriend. It appears that Kendrick is still reaping the benefits of his successful sophomore album as he took home the show’s biggest award for Best Male Hip Hop Artist last night at the 2015 BET Awards in Los Angeles.

This award was well-deserved considering that To Pimp A Butterfly hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart as the album was moved to 363,000 units after being released on March 16th. This made To Pimp A Butterfly Kendrick’s first No. 1 album to date.

Good stuff! Congrats to Kendrick Lamar on all his success.
