The Pharrell production takes a break from the previous heavily jazzy and funky live instrumentation. “Alright” is an anthem to stand up for what you believe despite how many times you’ve been knocked down. Also, the song is an anthem for Blacks in America to keep fighting. This could be all over the radio in a few months, but if it won’t Kendrick won’t lose any sleep.
