A documentary that filmmakers thought had been lost years ago has recently surfaced. Concrete Jungle is an offering that explores the connection between hip hop and skateboarding cultures. When it comes to fashion, style, and edge, it’s no surprise that the two cultures have so much in common.

The film explores both cultures and talks about how they’ve cross pollinated for years featuring commentary from hip hop and skate influencers like Tony Hawk, Chad Muska, Paul Rodriguez, Stevie Williams, Terry Kennedy, Curren$y, Jim Jones, and Pharrell Williams. The film, which is directed by Eli Morgan Gesner and narrated by Rosario Dawson, began shooting in 2007. Unfortunately, after over a year of shooting and editing, the production company that commissioned the project folded and Gesner walked away from the unfinished project and never looked back. Fast forward seven years later and a rough cut somehow silently resurfaced on YouTube.

Check it out above.

…and while we’re on the topic of hip hop and skateboarding, remember this?
