Lupe Fiasco Is Starting A Non-Profit For Inner-City Kids

We all know that Lupe Fiasco is a rap juggernaut. For over a decade, he astounded us with his poignant lyricism through classic albums like Food & Liquor & The Cool. Besides being a rap genius, he also likes showcasing his altruism and love for the community. Now, Lupe is trying to help kids live out their dreams by using his fame and platform to make it happen.

According to Billboard, Lupe’s newest endeavor is called the Neighborhood Start Fund. The kick-start product was created by Fiasco and his co-partner Di-Ann Eisnor to help kids turn their start-up ideas into reality. Right now, the fund’s first focus will be in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

The finalists chosen will be able to pitch their ideas live Nov. 13. Then, the finalists whose projects are selected, will receive access workshops, mentoring, and funding to turn their dreams into something meaningful.
