Nicki Minaj Disses Miley Cyrus At The VMAs

Nicki Minaj always does something memorable at the MTV Video Music Awards, and this year was no different. In addition to completely owning the VMAs, the femcee shocked the live audience and the world with her opening performance. Without any spoilers, let’s just say the Young Money first lady shut down any beef rumors.

Nicki Minaj kicked the show off by performing her reggae-inspired banger “Trini Dem Girls,” and then transitioned into “The Night Is Still Young.” Fans were in for a surprise when Taylor Swift joined the rapper to sing the chorus. The pop-star then closed the set by doing a live rendition of his Katy Perry shade, “Bad Blood.”

If you don’t remember, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift went back and forth @ each other on Twitter over VMA nominations. Their spat led to VMAs host Miley Cyrus straight up dissing the Pinkprint rapper and calling out her character. What happened later on was definitely one of the night’s biggest stories.
