NJ State Police Fire Tear Gas At Summer Jam

This year’s Summer Jam was one for the ages, and that goes for both performances and drama. NJ State Police had to be called to the event to prevent a riot from ensuing and, in return, were bombarded with bottles and whatever trash an angry mob of attendees could find. Sources say fans without tickets tried to bombard their way into the arena, which caused law authorities to bring our the riot squad, pepper spray, and tear gas. Unfortunately, customers who had tickets that showed around the same time of the ruckus were denied entry as well. Over 61 people were arrested by the NJSP. Emmis, who owns Hot 97, promised to refund fans who had tickets and were still denied entry by law enforcement.
