The Grammy Awards are probably the most popular awards show in the music industry. Aside from pop, country, and rock music, rap is also recognized in the Grammys. There are four categories for rap music namely Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best Rap Album. Among those who have won the Grammys are:
Naughty by Nature
The rap trio from New Jersey was the first ever to receive the Grammys back in 1996 during the 38thannual Grammy Awards. The group was formed in 1989 and remained active until 2002. One of the members of the group left, so they had to rebuild. They continued their work in 2006 and until now, they hit the charts with their music.
