Royce Da 5’9′ proved throughout his career that his bars were as sharp as any emcee in the game. “I made a decision to sign with Tommy Boy instead of Dr. Dre back in the day… he was offering me a $250,000 budget and unlimited Dre beats. Tommy Boy was just offering me a million dollars. For whatever reason, at 20 years old, a million dollars sounded like a much more valuable deal.”

A deal with Dr. Dre and Aftermath? The possibility of Marshall and Royce over some good beats by the doctor sounds like a prescription any fan would want. We’ve seen how rDre has fared with the likes of a young Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent. An astute lyricist like Royce would have thrived tremendously under the aid of Dr. Dre.
