RZA Will Direct New Prison Thriller ‘Breakout’

RZA of the world famous Wu-Tang Clan seems to enjoy directing movies these days since he no longer has to rap as much as he used to in his earlier days with The Wu. The Staten Island native has come a very long way from rapping in staircases to directing Hollywood films. The RZA will be directing the prison thriller Breakout. The movie is about a photographer who is falsely accused of drug dealing all the way in Bangladesh.

Breakout, which was written by Richard D’Ovidio, is set it be released sometime early 2016. The RZA made his directorial debut in 2012 when he directed the martial arts film The Man With the Iron Fists. This will be the RZA’s third time directing a major movie film. We’re interested to see how RZA’s new film Breakout will be.
