The reveal of the XXL Freshman Class of 2018 is quickly approaching, and voting for the 10th Spot on the roster is well under way. The XXL Freshman Class is a list of upcoming rappers that is compiled annually by XXL, and has proved to be a significant milestone for many hip-hop artists on their way to stardom. Although rosters have included up to 12 members in the past, the XXL Freshman list is usually capped at 10 members.
The 10th Spot on the list is a special and coveted title that artists earn through the support of their fan base. It is the only spot that is decided on directly by fans casting votes online for their favorite artists, while others are decided on by the staff at XXL. Aritsts that have won the 10th Spot in the past include XXXTentacion, Lil Yachty, Kidd Kidd, Iggy Azealea, Jarren Benton, and Dizzy Wright.
