As we all know this past Friday Lil Wayne held a benefit concert for the 10 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina that took hundreds of lives and destroyed the city of New Orleans. Despite its current renaissance within the city, New Orleans still hasn’t fully recovered.

Proceeds of the concert went to rebuilding the city and Lil Wayne understands his responsibility as a celebrity figure from his beloved city. Lil’ Wayne brought out many artists such as Master P, Currency, and, his original crew, The Hot Boy$.
