When Jay Z and Alicia Keys were performing “Empire State of Mind” at the VMA’s in 2009, everybody quickly became mesmerized by the intoxicating ode to the city of dreams, even Lil Mama. She was so much in awe by the performance that she jumped on stage and joined Jay Z and Alicia, even though Hov told her to chill. This moment will forever be embedded in our minds. Damn, Lil Mama.
