“That’s still crazy to me. It was like a gift and curse for me, in a good way. I was still fairly young and fairly new. I felt like I had a lot of energy. I’m sitting there making music and having fun, and he’s just seriously listening to it. I’m thinking, ‘Does he like it? I don’t know.’ A couple hours he’ll leave and won’t say bye.
