B.G. was another artist who managed to gain some steam as a solo entity. His 1996 album, Chopper City was heralded as a southern classic. During his career, he managed to release 10 solo albums before his career abruptly ended in 2012, because he was sentenced to 14 years in jail for gun possession and witness tampering.
