Murder Inc was an indomitable force in the 2000’s. Irv Gotti was a musical savant because of his ability to create hit after hit. He created the formula, internalized it, and ran with it as his artists, Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Lloyd became fixtures on the hip hop and R&B scene. Now, even though Murder Inc crumbled because of various crimes and allegations, they will always be remembered as the “It” team in the 2000’s.
