Trae Tha Truth Says J. Cole Inspired Him to Release His Debut Album

After a long career as a mixtape artist, Trae Tha Truth is ready to release his debut album for the world to hear! When Trae was deciding on a name for his next mixtape, his friend and fellow rapper J. Cole lent the veteran rapper an ear and told him that he should not release another mixtape but a debut album instead. Trae Tha Truth told Allhiphop.com:

“He (J. Cole) was like ‘there’s no point of doing a mixtape bro. You need to take your lane. You got a lane out there that you can control and make your name within hip-hop,’” Well, Trae took J.Cole’s advice and now he’s dropping his debut album Tha Truth on July 24th. Nice coaching from J.
