Four years ago, rapper Lil Jon did a Reddit AMA, in which Reddit users could ask him questions and he would respond directly to them. One of the questions that was asked was, “If your career wasn’t in music, what do you think you would be doing right now?” Lil Jon responded “IF I WASNT N MUSIC I WULD B A PSYCHIATRIST”.

Lil Jon’s alternate career plan was brought to life recently in a video posted by iHeartRadio, titled “Lil Jon Gets To Be A Psychologist For A Day”. In the video, Lil Jon tackles the problems of those who come for his advice with honesty and professionalism… Okay, maybe not professionalism, but the patients don’t seem to mind. See for yourself in the video below.

Although Lil Jon is just pretending to help people in this video, the rapper has actually made some pretty significant moves when it comes to philanthropy. In the past couple years, Lil Jon has taken an active role in opening not just one, but two schools in the village of Mafi Atitekpo in Ghana.

Lil Jon partnered with Pencils of Promise and the Ghanaian parliament to build the two schools, donating a whopping $70,000 to help fund the initiative. Pencils of Promise is a non-profit organization that focuses on building schools and educational programs around the world, you can learn more or donate to them by clicking here. The first school, Abomayaw D.A. Kindergarten, opened in October 2017. The second school, Mafi Atitekpo DA Primary School, has recently opened and will enroll 313 students. You can read up on his decision to build the first school here.

On a related note, fellow rapper French Montana has also done some significant charity work overseas, helping open a hospital in rural Uganda and provide health and educational services to kids in Morocco. Read up on that story here.

Although Lil Jon is approaching the old head age range (he’s 47), he’s still making moves in the rap game. The King of Crunk recently dropped a new music video for his track with Offset and 2 Chainz, titled “Alive”. Check out that video below, and don’t forget to SHARE this article!
