Bow Wow Sh*ts All On Jermaine Dupri

Bow Wow Sh*ts All On Jermaine Dupri

During an AMA (ask me anything) session with fans on Twitter, rapper Bow Wow had some choice words about his mentor, super producer, Jermaine Dupri. Actually, he sh*ts all on Jermaine Dupri.

If your’e old enough to remember when Bow Wow stepped onto the Hip Hop scene, it was no secret that he and Jermaine Dupri were inseparable.  Now, it is clear that things have obviously changed between the two.

In a recent interview with HiphopDX, Bow Wow credits Snoop Dogg as being responsible for his success as an artist. However, it was JD who signed Bow Wow to his then smoking hot So So Def imprint. Bow Wow made it clear when asked by a fan, that signing with Dupri may have been a mistake. When a fan asked, “If you could go back and change anything from the past what would it be?” He replied, “Stayed w Snoop. And never signed w nobody else.”

Bow would release his first two albums under Jermaine’s So So Def label; and the two found massive success. 2000’s Beware Of The Dog, and 2001’s Doggy Bag, were both certified platinum. Bow Wow’s poster was on every teenage girl in America’s wall. The success he found with Jermaine landed him everything from TV commercials to movie rules, so why all the regret?

He took another jab at JD when asked which song he was most proud of. Bow Wow replied, “Im a Flirt,” a collaboration with R Kelly. He continued, “Because it was w out jd. And it went number one w out jd. And i wrote it w out jd. My whole career i had to over prove to folks im not to be played w. It was like kobe winning w out shaq. Even jd told me, ‘if u think u can do it w out me THEN DO IT’ welp i did.”

I don’t know where all the shade is coming from, but as vocal as Jermaine Dupri is, we should be finding out sooner than later. Lastly, he tried to clean it u but it was too little, too late. The fans had noticed the shade.
