We’re celebrating the birth of the OG aka the Goat Lawrence Parker aka KRS-ONE. As a Bronx native, KRS is a boogie down representer known for giving off his lyrical dexterity to whomever stood in his path.

In 1980, KRS-ONE and his partner Scott La Rock formed Boogie Down Productions and recorded their debut record, Criminal Minded. Unfortunately Scott was killed in a deadly shooting and KRS continued on with the group, later adding D-Nice, Mad Lion, and others. We’re wishing the GOD a happy birthday and we hope he gives listeners another classic.
