Is Black Hollywood Boycotting The Oscar’s Properly?

This week, celebrities have been speaking out heavily over the nominations for this year’s Academy Awards, and the lack of diverse within them. With movies like Straight Outta Compton being evidently snubbed of any acting nominations, trending topics have come to fruition in response, including the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag. Now, some are looking at Chris Rock, who is hosting the awards show, to join in on the boycott, in order to help take a stand for black Hollywood. Will the boycott really be effective if actors and actresses speak out, however?
