It’s not often anymore that JAY Z does interviews, or even television appearances at that, but Jimmy Kimmel was lucky enough to sit down with the veteran rapper last night. While hosting his show right in Brooklyn, Kimmel sat down with Hov to talk about a slew of topics, just before his Tidal X: 10/20 show began at the Barclays Center. During their sit-down conversation, JAY talked all about how he loves being a sports agent, how Brooklyn has influenced him and what has changed about the borough, and even battle rapping with Busta Rhymes back in high school.

Kimmel even pulled up footage of JAY’s first television performance, where he spit a freestyle next to Big Daddy Kane, who put him onto the music game back in the day. Hov admitted that he was embarrassed by the footage, and predicted being embarrassed in the actual video, where he sports a funky striped shirt and haircut. Later on, JAY announced that he was giving away tickets to his Tidal show to all of the audience members at the Kimmel show, and he then guided them all through Brooklyn over to the Barclays Center. Hov gave plenty of hugs to some kids and fans along the way, with a huge swarm of people around him as he headed to the venue.
