Kanye West Becomes First Rapper to Cover ‘The New Yorker’ Magazine

Kanye West is still breaking barriers. The hip hop star and fashion mogul becomes the first rapper ever to grace the cover of The New Yorker magazine. Featuring a cartoon cover illustrated by Barry Blitt, Yeezy is depicted as a presidential candidate and can be seen holding up a sign that reads “Trump Defeats Kanye.” The visual mimics the hip hop artist’s claims to run for president of the Unites States in 2020 during his popular MTV Music Awards speech that he made last week.

The New Yorker is also taking a jab at Donald Trump by suggesting that he will never win the presidential election along with Kanye West.The cover copies the famous photograph of President Harry Truman winning the presidential election in 1948.

After making his big presidential announcement at last week’s MTV Music Awards, Kanye West had the internet going crazy and several blogs created memes making fun of his presidential announcement. However, Kanye West seemed to be very serious about his campaign.
